Visitors is a documentary photography project that explores the stadiums, fields and cultural clubs that shape the Canadian soccer experience. Inspired by the work of Hans van der Meer and Gerry Cranham, Visitors scans the Canadian soccer landscape and chronicles how the game has taken hold.

Visitors looks to make a unique visual contribution to the current body of Canadian soccer photography, much of which is shot in a contemporary photojournalistic style: two-to-three players and a ball set against an out of focus background. Visitors focuses on the larger narrative of the experiences of its participants offering a visual language that considers moments on and off the field, as well as the settings that host these moments.

The project is supported by the London Arts Council.
